The 2010 Coffs Harbour VB Gold Cup day is undeniably Coffs Harbour’s biggest social event of the year.

The 2010 Carnival will be launched at the Gala Cocktail Party and Fashion Parade at Park Beach Plaza in July 2010 (date to be advised). The evening will springboard all things new in 2010 for the carnival and will also announce the winner of the 2010 Face of the Carnival. The VB Gold Cup Carnival is seen annually as a prelude for the spring fashion scene on the coast and the Launch of the Carnival is a preview of what’s in and what’s not!

Racing commences with the NBN Community Cups Race Day on Sunday July 25 2010. This is a family day in every sense of the word. A great day of Racing with a 7 Race TAB program, great food and beverage outlets, Race Day packages available, bookies & TAB facilities on course and enough entertainment for kids of all ages to keep them busy for hours while mum and dad relax. NBN’s BIG Dog will make a special appearance and assist with the judging of our light hearted Kid’s Fashions on the Field. There will also be a jumping castle, face painting and a “Kids Klub” with Kids Activities coordinator to conduct games, activities and fun prizes throughout the afternoon.

The carnival continues with the Cabcharge Sportsmans Race Day on Wednesday 4th August offering an 8 race TAB program as well as the ever popular Westlawn Sportsmans Breakfast. Here you can watch the horses in track work while enjoying some great yarns from a guest listing of sporting identities, get all the latest information on the fields for VB Gold Cup Day and a terrific breakfast as well.

The climax of the Carnival is the Coffs Harbour VB Gold Cup day on Thursday 5th August culminating with the running of the $70 000 Coffs Harbour VB Gold Cup. An 8 race program offering $180 000 in prize money with a flood of social activities on the day being a highlight - including the hotly contended Park Beach Plaza Fashions on the Field.
